That intro, or 'opening', totally sucks. It's discusting. Makes me sick. I've never seen the show, but I bet SG-1 beats the crap out of it. But, hey. When you think of it, NOTHING can beat SG-1...

agree about farscape and sg-1 ( sg is still good though ) but the dune bit, nah, i think you need to be realy OLD to aply that one :P

Farscape and SG1 good but David Lynch's Dune was awful to be quite honest, the producers stepped in and altered everything. Old Davy didn't even want his name on the credits.

Old Davy didn't even want his name on the credits" - quite to the contrary, his "Dune" is the most genial film ever made. Lynch did not want his name on the extended version's credits because there were shots used he did not approve himself (some of them were repetative). I've watched both theatrical and TV-like versions and I understand why he made such a decision.

As a fan of the Dune books I felt disappointed that they altered the plot, it wasn't the Dune I was Expecting. Even the quite recent Dune mini series didn't fulfill its role in presenting this book, although I do find this recent adaptation better than the David Lynch version.

Well, I found Dune mini-series quite ridiculous: cheesy costumes, bad acting, "dead" actors. Herbert's books describe a Middle Age of the future: it had to be dark and bizzare, as it was in David Lynch's movie. Actors were great, costumes fit (in my opinion) to Dune's universe. Many things were really detailed, a lot of money and nerves were spent on the movie. And sorry for my four weeks late answer, I did not receive a message of a new reply and found it accidentally. i used to like sg1 it was my favourite show, but that was before i watched farscape or andromeda. I'm also starting to like the later seasons of atlantis more than sg1, although the first 2 seasons of alantis are kind of horrible

I dunno, I loved SG1, I only finished it last week and now I started watchin Farscape. Certainly Farscape has alot of potential...but will it actually manage to be BETTER than SG1??? I some how doubt it, but I hope it can :D
