Donaghy was accusing, not admitting. A rat is willing to say anything to get out of hard jail time. Also, game 5 was the Laker's until a bad call stole it out from under them. Laker should have been up 3-2 any way. But real champions overcome bad call. Suck it.

Yes, Kings fans, Laker haters, and NBA critics always seem to forget that the Kings got the benefit of some questionable calls in Game 5 and the Kings did blow the lead in Game 4. They still had a Game 7 to win and they failed to wrap it up in OT. I know bad calls can kill momentum, but I've always said that if you were meant to be champs then you have to step up on the next play. Ask the Oakland Raiders in the Snow Bowl vs. the upstart Tom Brady Patriots. They failed in the 4th and OT.

Did the NBA fix game 5 that helped the Kings take a 3-2 lead after a questionable call? Did the NBA fix the 4th game that ended up tying the series at 2-2? Was Game 7 fixed when the Kings couldn't finish off the Lakers in regulation and overtime? Stop making excuses. If the NBA tried to fix it for ratings,then look at the fact that the next years finals had San Antonio vs. New Jersey. San Antonio is a smaller TV market than Sactown. It makes no sense to snub Sac one yr and have SA in the next.

Bad calls happen in every sport. Real champs overcome bad calls and the Lakers over came a bad call in Game 5 to beat the Kings in 7.

But I'll tell you what, even as a Laker fan, I give the Kings a lot of respect for the battle they put forward, if they only made their free-throws... who knows. Also, I thought if was dickish of Shaq to call them The Sacramento Queens the next year after such an emotional series.

I wouldnt say the game was fixed. I dont think the NBA has anything against small market teams even if their the Kings. Hell, they let the Cavs and Spurs play in the finals. I will agree there were some bad calls but what about the bad call of Game 5? The Kings should of taken this series. It wasnt the bad calls that stopped them, it was them choking that stopped them. They should of taken Game 4. They didnt. They of should taken Game 7, but they didnt. True champs overcome bad calls
