I love Julie Andrews. She's such a classy lady and she seems like a person who would be very approachable and kind. The Sound of Music is my all time favorite movie. I thought the story about her grandson was really cute haha. And her british accent is almost gone! O.O did anyone else notice that? It's still there a bit with some words, but it's definitely not strong.

There is no such thing as a "british accent" there are dozens of accents in Britain, which is made up of Scotland, Wales and English, with Northern Ireland it makes it the UK. She has an English accent not a "British accent"Americans are so stupid sometimes...ugh it just gets on my nerves.

umm... I am highly aware of that. 4 of my bfffs are from the UK. One is from Scotland, 1 is from Manchester, 1 is from London, and the other is in Southern England. I went to England for a month and heard about 5 different accents. And yes. There is such thing. I'm an anthropology major and study linguistics, btw. Scotland, England, Northern Ireland, and Wales is all part of Great BRITAIN Her accent is a form of a british accent. I'm American, I'm aware that a place can have more than 1 accent.

All of you must read the wonderful biography on Julie! I saw her in the broadway production of Victor/Victoria and she was a smash. She sang Frank Wildhorn's "Living in the Shadows" which is wonderful! I do think that the film version of Victor/Victoria is her greatest film achievment.
