Hi Creeloo. I design
make the harps myself. The harp used here is my "gigs" harp. 44 strings (6.5 octaves) with cedar soundboard
coopersmithed mahogany soundbox. Strung with nylon. Recording processed in my studio.

Great performance, just as good as Watermark. That's what you played when I first saw you at Town Hall station january last year. Do you make harps? do you teach people how to play them? I need to find someone who will take me on as an apprentice for harp making.

Thanks, Foobi'. Unfortunately, musicians (professional or otherwise) are not allowed to busk or otherwise advertise their services there anymore. Yes, I design
make my own harps,
hire them out to my students. I dont think anyone could afford to take on apprentices in any form of lutherie in Australia.

I might have to go overseas for that then or learn from trial and error and research. How much are lessons and what is the price range for your harps, the celtic ones in particular?

Trial
error is how I learnt, though I did spend some time working with a luthier which gave me a few tips re string instrument design
wood properties etc. Lessons are $35- hr, harps hire from $50- month upwards,
cost from $5,000- up to about $8,000-.

Hi Rachel. I don't actually have a complete recording of either piece, as I use these a lot at wedding services. You can understand that I can't risk having recordings of these pieces available, as I rely on performing at weddings etc for my income. Sorry I can't help this time.
