(By the way: Who has more arguments: Liberals or Cons?) For that matter: Interesting that the discussion revolves only around 4k dead American soldiers. Anyone keep track of the dead, non-terrorist Iraqis at ALL?( over 650.000!) But they're all terrorists!, sorry, I forgot.
"In the deadliest day in Iraq in nearly four months, at least 134 people were killed and scores were wounded by insurgent-bomb attacks, ..." 650,000?
If 134 is one of the deadliest days, then 134(dead)x365(days)X5(years)=245,000 dead.
That's if every day in iraq was the deadliest. but they are not. so I have to say that 650,000 is a number pulled out of someone's ass with no evidence.
By the way, most of the 245,000 were killed by terrorists.
But you prove alot of compassion that we honestly have to argue about numbers like these... Why don't you just admit that Iraqi victims were much higher than American victims? Iraq attacked you?!?! Sad for the world, that people like you can vote for the most powerful man in the world!!!Do people like you know anything?
"Do people like you know anything?"
Boy, let me assure you of something- I can do this all day. what i know is that emotions deminish sensibility. You can consider me cold for calculating the death toll through reasonable assumption, but it does not diminish from the obvious truth. If anti-war zealots want to win the debate they hav
e to inflate their numbers
"245,000, that seems a bit low. How about going with 650,000, it has more punch. Besides, who's gonna question us anyways? We're the inteligensia!"
Facts can not cotradict themselves. but assumptions can.
"scientific report"? By dr. who?
It's a policy center report.
Maybe 650,000 people have died in Iraq since oct. 2003. if you include heart disease, cancer, car accidents, suicides and the insurgents.
I was not implying that you made up the number. But you believe it despite logistical mathematics.
Relieve yourself of your emotions and consider the logic of the equation.
Yes, Iraqi casualties are higher than the U.S. military's.
I would fear for our nation if our commanders said:
"You know what? The casualties in this conflict are disproportionate. We need more of our men to die so that the outcome is more equitable."
You probably play soccer. "cause of ties and all!
R-I-D-I-C-U-L-O-U-S!!!!!!!
You're just making a fool out of yourself, you better shut up, or I#ll come up with theories like "Oh, maybe the 9/11 victims all died by an heart-attack!"
"Maybe": You seem pretty confident of of your "logistical mathematics" by famous Dr.Dangela! You took one number from 2006(!) and then just multiplied.
It is pretty simple actually.
CNN, no friend of Bush mind you, stated that 134 was the highest number in 4 months. This implies all other numbers were less than 134.
Why don't you just take from the other side: How can the soldiers protect them better.
Most Americans don't understand the meaning of war at all, since they've never experienced what war is really like. Most nations have, which shows by not being too self-centered, egoistic and trying to see war as the very last means!
This segment which you refer to as "weird logic" that follows:
I would fear for our nation if our commanders said: "You know what? The casualties in this conflict are disproportionate. We need more of our men to die so that the outcome is more equitable." This is sarcasm. get it. I do not make light of those on either side that die. It is a shame. I prod at
the people who have such cloudy views of the reality
