The Junkers Ju 88 was a World War II Luftwaffe twin-engine multi-role aircraft. Among the most versatile planes of the war, it was used as a bomber, close-support aircraft, nightfighter, torpedo bomber and reconnaissance aircraft and even as a giant flying bomb in the Mistel project. Despite its protracted development, the aircraft became one of the Luftwaffe's most crucial assets. There were 15,000 Ju 88's built during WWII.

What a TOP bit of film this is, I do metal detecting as a hobby I found the remains of a Plane that turned out to be Oberleutnant Karl von Manowarda & his crew Flight Sergeant Ernst Fr
öhlich, Sergeant Heinrich Kaiser, Flight Mechanic Sergeant Horst Wolf and Flight Sergeant Paul Schmaler, they were shot down from the sky in their Junkers Ju 88 by F/Lt. C.M.Ramsay and his navigator F/O. John Edgar in their Mosquito, I also found Ramsay's Mosquito, it turns out that both shot each
other down.
