pete dad was serbian, so that makes pete serb..it dont mean he aint american. petes dad press maravich was born in usa. he coached in collge and played pro ball,not nba. pistol played in nba and is college alltime scorer. pistol learned his skills as a american, he never was in serbia to learn his skills. just becuase your puerto rican it dont mean that you automatically are gifted in baseball..you have to learn the skill wether you in usa or another country
