OSHO: Selling Bliss

Uploaded by: OSHOInternational
Video Description:
--FREEDOM AND RESPONSIBILITY--
Perhaps a Christian conditioning makes people think that anything 'spiritual' should be free. Osho's insight is that the mind gives scant value to anything that is free. Nothing around Osho was free. He reminded us again and again of the importance to remember that freedom comes only from responsibility and one such responsibility is that of paying.
Osho has responded to many questions in this regards. Some text excerpts here, another excerpt is available as video from a press interview. "You are ready to go to the movie and pay for it; why should you not pay for your meditation and the lecture if you want to hear it?" "You ask why you have
to pay here? The price that is asked is nothing; it is just the beginning of learning a certain lesson: that one has to pay for everything, and ... CERTAINLY for meditation -- because it is the highest thing in life." "You pay for everything in life, why not for your meditation? " Quotes from: Th
e Discipline of Transcendence, Vol 4,#10

free is good...i'm not sure i understand, is he saying that others don't see something worth value until theirs a price behind it? not everyone is like that though...i think i agree though...labels and names and looks in this material world = value ....i'm not sure
He is saying that ... ( 6 months ago by Casar1973)
He is saying that is a matter of perception whether you can appreciate bliss as such with or without a pricetag. So he is concerned with appreciation too and not only bliss itself. In the common world appreciation is sustained by the idea of how much something is valued and that is seen in the "price" reflecting it.

Love the wicked ... ( 4 months ago by iammasterlion)
Love the wicked smile at the end when Osho says he puts a price on his bliss out of compassion for the poor people who confuse price with value. That smile gives him away and makes us realize he was just a con-man, although the wisest, most enlightened con-man.
But he makes me ... ( 4 months ago by amritobhattarai)
But he makes me realize the con-game of reality. For Osho himself, in his personal bedroom I've heard there was nothing but a bed, a clock and books--
completely simple. But the reality is people only think in terms of money, or, money makes people think. So the bigger the balance sheet, the more attention you get, see popularity of "Who wants to be a Millionare". Only one person wins, and millions just simply watch: Osho would probably use this opportunity to throw some wisdom in while u can!
I think it's funny ... ( 4 months ago by GreyDancer42)
I think it's funny how people demand for the best things in life to be free, and yet they don't care for or value them when they have them. Osho was right, we don't value what we get for nothing, it immediately becomes valueless if there is no physical value attached to it. It is a flaw in the psychology of our cultures. Time and time again great teachers come to us and tell us, just open your eyes, heaven is in your hands. And we throw it away. Well said wise Osho!
Everything is an ... ( 4 months ago by tanpm0620)
Everything is an exchange of energy. Forget the objectivity of money. Money is a result of the energy you put into this world. You gain some form of energy and you will expend some form of energy. That is life. Osho possesses great abundance because he has given countless people abundance in so many different forms. He has put out so much positive energy in this world, and he deserved no less.

he is saying that ... ( 1 month ago by Rogman689)
he is saying that he feels sorry for those people that don't understand...so he's putting a price on it..so they "possibly" at some point understand the significance of bliss (giving it freely or acquiring it freely)...it's a lesson strategy he is implying.
