He wouldn't waste his time on N'Sync and Soulja Boy. No musicians listen to N'Sync and Soulja Boy. He is speaking from a Musician's standpoint, and has a point most of the time. I find the White Stripes enjoyable because their songs are simple and easy to listen to, despite the fact that I find they are just trying to act cool. His viewpoints come from a real hardcore metal musician. Not everyone will agree with it, because music is different to everyone. It's pointless to say why a band sucks.

The white stripes play music that they enjoy playing. Other people enjoy listening to this music so they do. This is as far as the matter should be analyzed. People, including myself, would much prefer to hear a simple blues song then any tastelessly overcomplicated crap that you would produce. This is why your here bitching on youtube and the white stripes are actually accomplishing something. As musicians who have to work at honing their skills and develop themselves technically, White Stripes are an insult. Lack of skill and proficiency is nothing to be proud of. however, they ve managed to reach an audience and do well by calling it an "art-form". So that either means that hard work means nothing, or the average music listener does not value hard work. Stop kidding yourselves. No musician that has spent years perfecting themselves will ever take the Whites Stripes seriously. Sorry
