i pictured the banter between victor and denny to be more subtle and less comedic, like real friends. can't judge the movie by its preview but i just get a different vibe off the book than this. fight club, the movie, was so excellent because it was so dark and genuine.

Weird thing to pick up on maybe, but I'd have pictured Denny as really skinny?? I'm pretty sure that's how he's described.
Anyway, I don't really like the look of this... though I might be a bit biased because Choke's my favourite book. I'll have to see the whole thing, but the preview does not look good :S

I love Sam Rockwell! I remember the first movie I saw him in was as that punk kid in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in 1990, and I saw the preview for Choke, and I was like...that guy looks so familiar...and it was him again!

There was virtually no theaters in my area that had this, a run down old Arts theater did, and it was worth the crappy seats and 12 foot screen. Palahnuik is my all time favorite author, he's down right amazing. Read Survivor.
