I shouldn't even validate that comment, but...any purpose-built car with a 6.2 Liter motor mated w/ a super charger should be faster than a 3.8 liter 6 w/ turbo. lets see GM even come half as close w/ a 3.8 liter and a twin turbo with awd and weigh as much as the gtr. there's a reason we worship foreign cars, and it's because they're better in every aspect. |

| HEre is the thing, No one buys a Corvette ZR1, or a Viper ACR when it is their ONLY car. People who buy these cars have a truck or 4x4 for winter, or an SUV to take kids to soccer, an escalade is better than a gt r for those puposes, and a 'Vette or Viper is faster on the track, so they get the best of both worlds ...They dont need to comprimise by only having one car... (the GT R is a good comprimise, but none the less, a comprimise) |

| Your comparing $100,000. grand cars to a base GT-R that cost $70,000. Just wait Until the the ultimate GT-R V-spec comes out. So it'll take out the cars you stated on the track, AND you can use it for winter, soccer practice ect. |

| Um...ok, a viper plus an suv would cost someone well over $150,000. A $70,000 GTR is not a compromise its a super everyday car that is faster then most super cars! Most people with suvs and trucks have only 3 or 4 people in their family. |

| Thanks Nolan for proving my point! They have the money to spend 200k on a range rover and a ACR. It would be a compromise to get a little of both for only 70k, a good comprimise, but still... A compromise My point is that this car isn't the best at anything, it's pretty good at a few things... so if $ is not an issue, buy an SUV and a 'Vette or ACR ** The V-spec only ran a 7:25 unofficial.. so 3 seconds slower than the viper.. |

| 72defender..FYI,GM DID DO A 3.8 LITRE V6 WITH A TURBO BACK IN THE MID 80'S..BUICK GNX.nothing could touch it in its day and it is still very respectable by todays acceleration standards.The new ZR-1 is gonna spank this car,but for the $30,000 diff.,I would go with the GT-R,PUT $15,000 into some mods and I dont think that too many cars will give it a run..if any. |

| there was a black gtr at my local dragstrip test and tune on wed night..watched it line up against a pro street lime green pinto(seriously)..with a horrible 8.09 reaction time,the mid forties family man who owned the gtr was running 11.9's,with a baby seat in the back...oh yeah and he won the race..best asian car ever, for perfomance..for looks ill roll with a veilside fortune nsx |
