This is the third Videoclip of Madonna's career. "Borderline" was her fourth US single, released from Madonna, 1983, debut album.
"Madonna" in the US or "The First album" in Europe, were the names of the debut album by Madonna, released on July 27, 1983. This album did quite well in the charts, reaching the Top 10 in Australia, France, the UK, and US. It was certified 5 times Platinum in the USA, while selling over 10 millio
n copies worldwide. The Borderline single reached number 2 in the UK and was Top 10 in the US. This was the first video that Madonna made with Mary Lambert. The "look" of Madonna's first videos became an icon of the pop culture and a reference in the 80's fashion and style.

I was 13 when this song came out.I begged my dad to get cable just so I could watch THIS video. I could only watch MTV from 3pm till 330p afterschool.I waited for 3 days straight.I cried the third day out of teen frustration as the time was ending.While I was wiping away my tears I heard the distinctive chimes at the beginning of the song.I threw the school books off my lap and crawled on my hands and knees over to the console t.v. I pressed my face up to it and when it was done I wanted more.
