Well, sort of -- at least when Nugent was still one of the amboy dukes, singing his famous "Journey to the Center of the Mind," and psychedelic to the max (rather than his heavy metal post-psychedlic raunch style that dominated ever since). But is that unique? I mean, for that matter, the Moodies are very much like the Beatles in a way -- yet very unique & different.

This was the absolute peak of the Moodies popularity (circa 1972) -- not that it every came close to disappearing. Both
"7th Sojourn" and the much earlier "Days of Future Passed" were #1 on the charts in the USA! Simultaneously!
They also look so smashing good on this! Pinder, now with his crown completely bare, looks so much the Gandolf-wizard. And Edge, hammering away on the drums (I love the final shot!). & Thomas, Lodge, & Hayward . . . so poised, intelligent, handsome &♪♫♪♫♪♫

These guys were legends by this point, they started with the old 'mersey beat' type of sound and within a few short years helped push rock to new heights- material from 67' was shockingly different from material written 4 years previous.
this era lasted roughly from 66' to 72', their golden years -the bands most creative time.
This song is right at the ass end of that period--by this point they were rock veterans with albums, interesting stories

Mightsaturn5, you said, "this era lasted roughly from 66' to 72', their golden years -the bands most creative time." I wholeheartedly agree! It was an incredible time for them . . & all of rock music. I did like the post 7th Sojourn period, including the first release afterward, "Octave," which had some nice cuts. But never again was I as enthralled. It was the end of an era. But I was very glad that they continued their success, and still enjoyed hearing their newer stuff on the radio.

It's absolutely priceless to see the orginal members of the band playing including Mike Pinder (integral to success!). I rate the Moody Blues as the greatest rock band to ever form! Glad for the young ones! I haven't heard a group since that has the power and import their lyrics, as well as their potent musicality. They are a group we need to pass on to our 'Children's Children's Children' as 'Every Good Boy Deserves Favour.' Or am I just 'On the Threshhold of a Dream?' So I'll 'Go Now.' ;)
