Dear piyasing - I am thrilled to know that the magnificent and great Jaidevji was your uncle. I am 52 and I only listen to the GOLDEN MELODIES of yesteryears. I first heard this beautiful song in 1962 when I was 7. I listen only to the Golden Oldies. The music of the 50s and 60s pulsates through my veins and with each passing day flows stronger. The 1950s/60s may have disappeared but not from my heart, soul and memory. The vintage era of lilting tunes grows stronger each time I listen.

Jaidev was one of the musical geniuses of the fifties and sixties indeed!Pity he came to Bolywood a bit late from Kenya.He had his unique style, his songs were catchy in tune but had a classical touch.My brother and I used to send hundreds of "Farmaish" from Hyderabad to Radio Ceylon for the songs from this film.My favourite was a bhajan "Na my dhan chahoon ,na rathan chahoon". This song brings back memories of my Radio Ceylon addiction days. Amin Sayani,Gopal Sharma, Chetan Kheda...brilliant!
