While I agree that Skankin' Pickle were great you can't say anything bad about MMB. Bosstones failed at nothing and are still one of the premiere ska bands showing the new bands how it's done.

while i agree those bands are the ones to blame for the mainstream, where they kind of changed their sound to make people not use to ska, get use to ska. i don;t think they killed ska, because it will always be alive so long as we ever talk about it or listen to it. but regardless, skankin' pickles was an amazing band when they were around in the early and mid 90's.

am always hearing about the "killing of ska". Like very other genre of music. It has always just evolved. Music would be pretty boring if it had to follow a cookie cutter mentality. I look forward to new imaginative ways to play and hear music that I love. Skankin Pickle just so happened to be the best bands I have ever heard.
