Pressure your representative to support the Burmese people. People hope so much the force of love and compassion will defeat the forces of hatred and oppression. Don't let 'em! Boycotting goods/events from countries standing idly by claiming they "don't interfere in internal affairs of other countries" is a good start. Those same countries are supplying financial aid to military junta in the form of business dealings and so, de facto, are so involved.

they broadcast the truth, irrespective of which nation is on the receiving end.. unlike the western news channels that has all their reports filtered through the Bush administration, thus resulting in viewers with your mentality. Tossing around remarks such as "rag heads" further illustrates your immaturity and inconsideration towards people with different outlooks on life other than yourself.

The scene reminds me of the Palestinians in Israel. Only now its the Buddhist Burmese and not the Muslim Palestinians throwing rocks. The junta military and not the IDF. Sure there are differences, like the monks wear red and the Palestinian wear green, but history is full of copycats.

In my personal opinion I don't think no more peaceful dialouge's gonna work since even Mr. Gambari couldn't seem to convince the Junta to stop its evil doings. Now we know negotiation doesn't work with those demons so we have to take the real appropraite action. The difference is is that the Palestinians fire rockets at innocent people, and the Monks just sit and say prayers. How are the Palestinians ever going to have peace with there continued attitude of suicide bombing resteraunts, using human sheilds, and holding schoolbuses hostages. Nobody can make peace with these people.
