Could you imagine being 12 tons and kept in a tiny are like that for hours on end. They can't lay down. They are forced to stand up.

Have you seen the inside of the cars? They are actually quite spacious. Do you know anything about elephants? Here is what the San Diego Zoo has to say about being "forced to stand up":
Yes elephants do sleep laying down but only for short periods of time. The rest of the time they will cat nap while standing or leaning against a tree or rock. Our elephants usually sleep from 2am to about 5 or 6 am.

First whats a tiny are? and second I guess you lived on the train too, huh? Probably not. Well I did! For 2 of the best years of my life!! and let me tell you, this train stops every 4 hours to waterour precious animals, they have tons of room and we only travel atmost, 3 days. It's idiotic comments like this which destroy the image of one of the last of the greatest american traditions we have, the circus!!

Are the animal cars the same as the passanger cars?
And dang how can just those two locomotives pull all that? And lastly, how do the workers see their families, and do they get time off?

when it's all hooked up, the train's about a mile long. the animal cars and coaches are the same lengths - but the animals have more room. i'm in the RBBB blue unit - and we Do get time off, but we also play over 400 shows a year, so... i enjoy it, i like my room, i like the travel :)

Oh my beautiful circus train! I was in the 125th edition Red Unit. I lived on car 39, roomette #6! It was a magical, wonderful place to live and work. The animals are treated like Royalty. If you have an questions, just ask! Keep speculative comments and nasty judgements to yourselves. Go live in the circus first, then judge!

my son just started the blue tour today as an audio engineer. he's young and I'm just hoping he'll be OK. Is the life on the road hard? He said the train is parked at a depot not close to town. Any comments or advice is appreciated.
