| Generally yes, but Dizzy always played like that. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe he had some kind of mouth problem where he had to play like that. If not, that's just the way he wanted to play. Honestly, he sounds quite good, so it's fine. |

| No, Dizzy didn't have a mouth dissease or something. What's really amazing is that he was able to find out how to get air in his mouth, and actually in between his skin and his flesh in his cheeks. That's why he inflates when he plays, you see that his neck even blows up with air. |

| the Kansas accent thing made me laugh- I guess his parents musta been from the south because everyone around here talks with the nasally weather reporter voice. although, he does sound a lot like my grandpa, who's from "deep Kansas" but then again, Bird was from KC which is about as far away from deep Kansas as you can get while still in fact being in Kansas |
