I think this sone is more about his ability to release his own personal negativity he may have held rather than an apology. More of an explanation. Carrying all that all negativity had probably jeopardized a lot of previous relationship's.He obviously has forgiven and released these Concrete thoughts i.e. negativity that weighs you down. Could be wrong but just my take...
