I think the guy could have just set the puppy down and went on his way. Yeah, they are mean tough soldiers who are used to the grimness of battle, but the guy had a look of satisfaction on his face afterward. No matter how much lip flap we pay to the subject, the look in the guy's eye says it all. God will judge his actions.

I truly doubt all the e-animal rights activists here are hardcore vegetarians. It's apparent the dog died an instant death, however if you're that worried do some research on how the animals you eat get slaughtered and then evaluate which animal you think suffered more. I don't agree with the puppy toss but lets not be hypocrites. I think there are far more important issues in the world, especially in Iraq, than a puppy being tossed.

Honestly, I don't really know why everyone thinks it's their personal purogative to write Lcpl Motari hate mail when it does'nt change anything. I'm a Marine Cpl myself and know when we get in trouble we get burned bad for it by our command. Taking his rank and pay from him hits alot harder than most civilians think. It is our concern for the entire war, regardless upon if he threw the dog or not we should open our eyes to other stuff they could've done like killing kids for no reason.. But then again their are two ways you can look at this situation. 1: If we leave, they might have someone invade them and take them over therefore posing a threat to all other places in the world and more mayhem. 2: If we stay in iraq with less soldiers but they just leave by less and less and then see what happens.
