Is not really dangerous if u know some basic physics. Planes do the same as they have to cross clouds while electric storms.

I was getting electrocuted by 11 amps two weeks ago. It shocked the hell out of me and I was stuck to the live wire for about two seconds, it was freaky.

Good question.
I had a 97 F150 in my shop about 6 months ago, (living in FL, we see lightning) It got struck, but didn't drive off like the Dub did. Needed a whole new PCM and you could see a blue streak down the antenna to the wheel.

funny how they ... ( 23 hours ago by obermuh)
funny how they never showed the full registration of the car. but by the little red sticker you could tell that the car is registered in hamburg and with the number being somthing in the 7000's u can tell that its a europcar rental. that would have made a epic phone call if something would have broken in the car. "well yes, we kinda shot the car with lighning and now it doesnt work anymore, really sorry about that" :D
Kinda stupid always ... ( 12 hours ago by Bashi88)
Kinda stupid always talk about how many volts, it's the current that kills people. Even static electricity gains up to many kilovolts. For example getting a shock while closing a car door. With current you don't have to get involved with many milliamperes to die. Basic physics as somebody here wrote.
but the heat from ... ( 12 hours ago by amna68)
but the heat from the strike would in turn melt you
Of course high ... ( 1 hour ago by Bashi88)
Of course high voltage as lightning is something you don't wanna get involved with, i ment voltage as usual 8) It also depends are your both feet on the ground or are your both hands in touch with the voltage :P OR is there a possibility at all for current to flow through you. Very few people have survived lightning strikes and that's quite difficult to understand..
