Regarding him calling non-muslims martyrs, I've read the transcript and believe he has been taken out of context. Surely we can see he was referring in a different context, and not referring to the actual islamic context and definition of Martyr? I strongly doubt that he beleives they are actual Martyrs in the full Islamic context.

This person is only calling to himself. I guess he has a problem with trying to hold firm to the quran and sunnah. Is the islam in america different from islam in other place. What problem does this person have with people calling to tawheed, this is the foundation of islam, and the basis of the call to truth. this is what each prophet called to, tawheed, not the secret of secrets or some type of magic dhikr that will cause one to float. I advice you to reflect on sura nisa ayat 115!!!!!

Why do you refer to Hamza yusuf as Mr Hansen? This shows how intolerant you are. Do say he ceased to be a muslim according to your understanding of Islam? What have your lot done for Islam? except alienate muslims and play right into the hands of our enemies, right where they want you to be! Perhaps I am little naive, but according to me we are all muslims. Not Wahhabi, Sunni, Shia etc.. I have seen many of your likes calling others Kuffar! Islam gives even animals rights, what more human beings..the right to live in safety, peace and justice. Sadly most Muslim leaders chose to be ignorant of fundamental teaching of Islam of SOCIAL JUSTICE. There are many Muslim countries that practice and sanction corruption as a way of life...which is TOTALLY UNISLAMIC!
