this song was made 1992 but it was released 1993 and was orginally made for the bette midler movie "hocus pocus" but it was not used and they took it for the movie "super mario bros." what a big mistake :( when you listen to the lyrics you hear in the refrain "i love when you do that hocus pocus to me" and that don't really fit to the thrash video game movie "mario bros"

Uhmmm, almost always a lot of people think that this kind of songs from early 90`s (90, 91, 92, 93) are from 80`s. Too bad.

I love this song, but I remember most was that I used to have only 2 English-language channels back then, one was CNN which kept showing footage from the war in Yugoslavia, and the other was the video channel, which showed Roxette a lot, so unfortunately Roxette also gives me flash backs to the war back then.. :-(

You are right about the history of this song, but the song really doesn't fit either films. In both films the 2 people who the film is fot have no time to really fall in love(Daisy is kidnapped, while Luigi is looking for her)(the children in Hocus Pocus are also too busy running from the witches to have any real feelings. There's also a version of this video with scenes from Super Mario Bros
