Think about a straight forward Barbie doll, tha5t is presented to young girls and boys as "unattainable beauty"... its packaged... u following me... it has been objectified...
We have black babies... bu t they don't really have lips like me or my family, flat nose (I know some blacks have straight noses...) curly tight hair...

think of BET, whether we all agree on what is aired on the channel, we can all agree that the station is about some of us (although not about all of us)... but how we are objectified in the public domain and on stations such as BET goes against our image of having thick lips, a big nose, DARK skin , hair in its natural state (without being labeled afro centric or a separatist black)...

I feel like your response was the best response,I agree with you that the unattainable are the ones who are dare to be natural the way that we were created. I also wanted to because most strong black women choose to separate themselves from black men. What i mean by this is you were on the topic and then you started giving examples of women but not the men. Girl, you nailed it on the head for me. I heard so many responses to this question, and I kept thinking that's not the answer or the point, and when I heard your video, a light bulb tuned on. Forward unity, and other's like you helped me understand that the unattainable I was trying to define was already in the mirror.
