You should watch this documentary The Ring of Power. You can stream it right here on youtube. It will give you insight into corrosive dynamics of the global elite, the bankers. The reasons why the christian institution along with others were created to systematically mold a being controlled by institutionalized doctrines. You might recognize this paradigmatic person; its you and me and our friends and our family, the debt slave. The teeth of capitalism make every step harder.

I feel did feel utterly horrified when she recounted that she had been raped. I could see the strength in her response. She maintained her Poise. Tori Amos wrote a song on her first album examining her own experience with rape, "Me and a Gun." Alanis has also spoken about her rape and abuse as a teen.I think it is great when artists do not lie about their experiences. It demonstrates the reality of the pervasiveness of this invasive act. Rape has walked hand in hand with the age of imperialism.

Looking toward entertainment, one cannot fully grasp the Madonna phenomenon without analyzing her marketing strategies, her political environment, her cultural artifacts, and their effects (Kellner, 1995).

And do you want me to feel sorry for you? That's life. Some are poorer, some a richer. I'm not going to become as bitter as you because of the simple fact that some people have more access to things than others. Your discourse about CAPITALISM is so ridiculous, and guess what? You live here! You probably have a nice computer, cable TV, DSL... Bet you're the kind of guy that wears HOLLISTER and shit like that. Sorry, but I cant buy your shit.

"Honey", she sells her albums. Okay, not a lot of people buy them, but she sells them. Madonna does the same. Speaking of film, Madonna first film received mixed reviews, most of them really positive and debuted in ARTSY festivals around the world. Oh, but would probably say she bought them all, right? She paid to have them exhibit? Or maybe she didn't write or direct the movie - she paid someone to do it and she got the credits for it?

When we talk "longevity" we talk about how long one can keep its status of something as something. Starting from the 80's, the big females were: Madonna and Cyndi, then Madge and Janet, then Madge and Mariah, then Madge and Courtney Love, then Madge and Alanis, then Madonna and Britney and Christina, than Madonna and Mariah (with her comeback album).
She has always been among the ones on the top. That's longevity. She has not left that position and had a come back three (or more) years later.

Are you just naive or what? I said it before, MEDIA and ACADEMIC agendas are the results of a "negociation between the several differente layers of society". You just made my point, and proved you didnt understand that I was saying the same thing. That's life. Politics, Economy and Culture are in a game. They're all in the same field battling and negociating with each other. But the difference is that I dont see someone who comes out of it rich (like Madonna) as a negative thing.

No, I do not want sympathy. I do not wear name brands it would go against all my ideologies. The fact that you could reduce a person so such stereotypes shows your own naivety to the queer culture we live in, everyone is different. However, most of the people do not have a voice because they "stratified" layers of capitalism and politics have a special minority designation for them all.

Yes, but you are not understanding why critiques on society and culture, especially highly commercialized representations are the future. Smearing my conclusions as "Naive", actually shows your own naivety. Your willingness to accept the dominant culture for what it is. Your experience within the mass sheeple population, herded by the Bankers "the kings" of capitalism. Go ahead eat their grass. How do you even ... ( 1 week ago by BoysForPele1989)
How do you even know I am a guy, seems like Madonna has not taught you much about gender roles or privilege. I was like a lot of kids in high school the one that did not fit into common high school stereotypes. See, those guys were the ones who bullied people like me and there are many of us you might be one to. When you come to such generalizations it is highly ignorant. I could be an intersexual who the medical establishment decided to surgically construct gender on.

She is a brilliant business woman, in the 80's she was in the perfect place at the perfect time. She knows how to market herself in a highly commercialized way. Alanis in no way should be associated with Madonna in pop music. Alanis tried the pop bit, and then released Jagged Little Pill after she Listened to Tori Amos album Little Earthquakes. She says she listened to it all the way through and just cried and poured her sorrow out. Then she entered the artistic sub-culture of music.

As a Women's and Gender studies student, the future of the discipline of media studies will need to include a Race, Multiculturalist, Queer, and Feminist critique if it is designed for the future to understand the dynamics of how the media monopoly perpetuates privileged groups who advance in capitalism. The new albums from these artists have critiqued this: Tori Amos, Nine Inch Nails, Bjork, Radiohead, Alanis, and Marilyn Manson.

I'll have to use the word NAIVE again (instead of another word): Jagged Little Pill was completely well elaborated and planned, and it is among the ten best selling albums in history due to marketing. Alanis and her Jagged Little Pill were both designed and made for the masses. Madonna, then CEO of Maverick records (label that signed Alanis) did an excellent work by promoting the music of a young woman with adolescent issues. It's POP music with electric guitar. Pr

Adolescent issue, I may ask what are the sources of these issues. Maybe socialization processes, that make adolescence a hard place set up with it's conformist ideas. People loved the album because she was expressing the rage of the grunge movement in a new way. The grunge movement definitely paved the way for Jagged Little Pill's success. Little Girls were not listening to this music I might add.

Much like Hole's major commercial success with Celebrity Skin. Madonna's Ray of Light was an astronomical seller too, but this is because of the content, The messages. American Life deemed to be a "flop" actually saw Madonna critiquing her own situation. The people buying these albums are awakened by renaissances of pop music. this is why they do so well, at the same rate as frivolous pop music.
