When Goslings Attack pt 1

Four families of Canadian Geese came off the River Thames to feed in the playing fields, lucky for all I was there to feed them some bread. I sat near the shore and I was surrounded. Watch as one cheeky little gosling came under my legs to steal some bread! There are just under 30 goslings here. I counted 26 and 28 multiple times so I really don't know how many there were!
When I ran out of bread they started doing their lawnmower impression. They walk in a line and strip the grass. I love the sound of so many birds eating grass at once! The goslings look a bit scrawny because their pin feathers are just coming through. These are their first 'proper' feathers, whic
h in about a month or two will give them the ability to fly for the first time. The adults are trying to keep their own goslings separate from the others. You may also notice that the goslings peck those that are not from their brood. Filmed with Panasonic SW20 and edited in iMovie.
