Yes! That's the word I was looking for 'melancholic' - in a very beautifully sad way. I remember when I acquired the record copy of this many years after it won - I played it to death... Try listening to this in the dead of night with headphones - this really gets to you and gives you goosebumps when you think this went out right across Europe that night all those years ago...

I know the feeling, used to listen to it in very late hours. Such a lovely way of describing growing up. I believe the 1973 winner had also the same subject. RIP Frida. Who is the other winner that passed out?

J'ai eu la chance de voir Frida en spectacle sur le site de Terre des Hommes,
à Montréal, en 1971. Inoubliable. Je ne comprends pas comment on peut se pâmer de nos jours pour Dion et 50 autres chanteuses interchangeables qui n'ont pas une once d'originalité. Frida, Jacqueline Dulac, Monique Leyrac, Mouskouri sont uniques. Quelqu'un peut-il me dire quelle est la différenc
e entre Dion et Fabian? Derrière la technique vocale, où est l'émotion? Enfin, je suis peut-être trop nostalgique...

Hands down the best song ever at the ESC. Perfect fusion of singer and song. Sublime. I fell in love with her and her song as an 8 year-old in front of my TV set in Spain and I have loved them both ever since. Gone or not, Frida will be forever in my heart. Merci!

é. En 1969 il y a eu quatre chansons gagnantes, celles des Pays-Bas, de France, d'Espagne et du Royaume-Uni. Pour moi les chansons neerlandaise et française sont excellentes, mais j'aime pas l'espagnole et la britannique. D'autres chansons qui méritaient gagner en 1969 étaient le Portugal et l
