Persons who look at the sky the most, professional astronomers, are the most skeptical of UFOs as extraterrestrial. The bottom line is that the evidence has not convinced many scientists. None are writing papers for refereed journals on it. The burden of proof is on those making the claims who should present the absolute best evidence they have, not questionable photos and videos, conspiratorial cover-ups, etc.

Thanks for the post. I lived in the arctic for 6 years and saw this same effect above and upon the arctic snow--once during the day and once during THE NIGHT. While I am sure there is a scientific explanation, it was fascinating nonetheless. The night occurence took place over the mountains between Kiana and Selawik. It was awe-inspiring.
