OVAs are kinda like made for TV movies, so technically they're not part of the main series. They kinda have their own story arc that's a bit different too.

but some of the ovas are the second series in the books. They made the anime in the next 5 books the ova eps. but they suk and ppl can only have like every other one so i already watched most. The books r soooo much better
