I think bands like stained should stop singin like layne. hes a fukin great singer and im sure he would appreciate it but come on , if u can sing have your own original voice. Theres enough AIC clone bands out there, we dont need more. So remember if u are one of those bands out der , you will only sound like layne, never as good.

In my opinion Aaron sounds nothing like Layne. Layne's voice is much more distinctive and different. I do agree with you though, there are many AiC-like bands. It's best to get your own sound. But listen to Aaron's voice compared to Layne's, a huge difference.

Staind sounds nothing like Alice In Chains. The only reason they do in this song is its one of the FEW Layne Staley tribute songs out there. I for one am glad that someone remembers Layne, and was moved enough by his music to pay it tribute. Listening to the lyrics ftw.

I gotta say, aiming for the style they got it, but of course it isn't Layne, He is my idol always has been always will be. No one could capture pain in their voice like Layne could. I wrote a Layne tribute song with my current band, don't know if it will ever get released. I think we all did it out of respect to one of the men that inspired us.

I dont understand why everyone is compareing the voices, all Aaran Lewis was trying to do was make a tribute to somone he obviously loves and helped him, he wasnt trying to be Layne or trying to come close to layne, it was out of love and respect for Laynes music.. I think this song is amazing, and as said im glad SOMONE remembers Layne like this, he was one amazing musician.

Yeah it was a tribute to Layne obviously. They made the song somewhat around an Alice In Chains style, including the vocal style, so what? That's what he's making a tribute to, him as a musician and as a person, and it's amazing.
