I though escape velocity was only necessary without additional power. You don't actually need to achieve EV to break free of the Earth's gravitational pull, you just need to achieve it if you don't have additional thrust. After all, getting off the ground is the hardest part. It's very hard to visualize a "warp" in space time, especially on the small scale (like I said earlier about being bound to the earth) I don't see a warp or even room for one, under my feet.

So he is bacisally saying that darkness from the suns expolsion is not quite fast as the speed of light so gravity takes longer to reach anything than sun so nothing known to man is instanioues but light is fastest speed known to man well i cant really comprehend this

Einstein knew that nothing could travel faster than light, not even lack of gravity could travel faster than light. The other details are just questions that einstein asked himself, like, "How could lack of gravity take effect before the darkness reached the earth?" -- basically saying, "how can gravity take effect instantly? It can't. Nothing can.

Think about the warp above you though, there's nothing pulling you up. Think about it like this: A fat guy sits in the middle of the trampoline. You roll a marble on the trampoline. The marble will go toward the fat guy until the marble hits the fat guy. This is true for orbiting telescopes too. The telescopes orbiting our planet will ease in ever so closely until the gravity is too strong and they get sucked in.

i've read somewhere that if you split a proton, they still have an instantaneous link. So if you'd spin the other half in some direction, the other would also start spinning in that direction aswell. And this effect happens instantly. Literally, instantly. So this would mean that light, is NOT the fastest possible speed. And ofcourse there's the whole "space warp" thing but that i suppose is a little too sci-fi.

Does anyone know how fast the earth would be traveling if it was knocked out of orbit? Imagine living on that day the sun dies out
earth is flung out into the unknown of space! (lets say by that time people knew of the sun's demise so they some how simulate it so people could survive) I wonder if the earth itself could be used as a shuttle traveling through space. Think of the things people might bump into. Probably unlikely but that would be cool.

problem with that thought is that if we were travelling through space as a planetary spaceship o to speak the earth would collide into a comet, another planet etc. and the earth would be destroyed pretty quickly once the collision took place, imagine an earth sized comet hitting earth thats what itd be like

Learn not to divert into the rubbish and you will sound sane. Just because the chicken did lay the egg doesn't mean that it always is eaten up. Sometimes, it just rots away because it was unfertilised. Some times, it goes SMACK, and hey, everything failed. And of course, some times, it hatches into a chick... but that doesn't mean it will always grow up. Some times, it dies from sickness, or gets eaten... etc. Of course, there is a probability of it growing up and laying another egg. So on.

err... 8 mins = 480 s approx, x speed of light... 3 x 10^7 m/s, = radius, x 2 pi = circumference... divide that by 365 x 24 x 60 x 60, you get the speed of earth if its knocked out of orbit... too lazy to do the math, but it should be pretty fast... 2km per second? i duno

Einstein is wrong wrong wrong. You can create a source of gravity so strong that punctures spacetime. In theory you can travel through this puncture and bypass all speed limits. Space and time is non existent. You could also create this non existent field around a craft and move in ways that our knowledge of physics wont allow. I think this is how the ETs do it.
