Normal computers ... ( 11 months ago by SuperiorMind)
Normal computers use binary bits. Basically - on-off or 0-1 states. Combinations of 0's and 1's make up numbers(data) and instructions. Quantum computers aren't just 0-1 state bits - they use virtually infinite states(ie: 0.3f,-0.2f,0.9f). So the processing works in a completely different way and much much much much faster.
But will the ... ( 11 months ago by angel2901)
But will the Quantum Computerts faster than the normal computers that we have in 20 years?
Oh yeah. No matter ... ( 11 months ago by SuperiorMind)
Oh yeah. No matter how fast a normal computer gets - it'll still be limited to crunching enourmous combinations of 0's and 1's.

I could need a book to explain it all...so...I'll say only this: YES..right now..they're just faster

just powerful of the best known pc..easy to understand ;-)
when these things ... ( 10 months ago by DanceDanceJoe)
when these things go on the market, theres a good chance there will be a hacking problem.

God, Imagine getting your hands on one today. No network would be safe. I'm drooling just thinking about what I could do with one.

Imagine the kind of graphic that a quantum graphic card could create... LOL.
The atomic clock ... ( 9 months ago by H0D0NKAIN)
The atomic clock uses Cesium not quartz and it already doesn't lose a single second of time given over 1.5 million years. I guess we push, push, push. heh
Many Many Many more ... ( 9 months ago by H0D0NKAIN)
Many Many Many more calculations per second which could basically mean that the extremely huge numbers that are encoded on your master card and bank accounts could easily be factored and decrypted in a matter of seconds rather than decades.
It is debatable ... ( 9 months ago by InfernoTube)
It is debatable whether the so-called D-wave quantum computer really is a quantum pc. The results so far (as seen on youtube) could just have been an ordinary pc. There is no scientific information that d-wave's pc actually is a quantum computer. That doesn't keep them from attracting investors for millions and millions of cold hard ca$h.
the huge numbers ... ( 9 months ago by menzoic)
the huge numbers can be even larger if they're encoded with a quantum computer.

i dont understand a thing, but the 3d games will look alot more better and get better AI with such horse power
what's described ... ( 8 months ago by luevanoalx)
what's described here is kind of like what frenzy did to the pentagon net on transformers, hacking the supercomputer in seconds..
well there also ... ( 7 months ago by Dutchdrummer99)
well there also working on quamtum security codes.. so hacking and securing will balance itself.. its primarily the software that makes a difference, and by that time the software will (hopefully) be a lot better.

Well' I'm totally fed up of the astonishing achievements that science WILL REACH MAYBE. Because then you realize the truth is a bit different. "Quantum PC can offer the strongest encription". But we already have someone that... cracked the quantum PC even before its birth, using additional electrons etc etc.
STOP WITH TALES PLZ. Or call them TALES, thanks:D

LOL making the ... ( 5 months ago by ronimacarroni)
LOL making the atomic clock more precise. You would think that they would say that it could be used to simulate what would happen if you got sucked into a black hole or something, but no, we think the atomic clock might be off by 0.00000001 nanoseconds The people working with the atomic clock really deserve the most anal people on earth award
