Jack gave David his agent, Shirley agreed to have him on the show and Shaun agreed to coostar with him in the play Blood Brothers.
Jack was 14 when he left home to be in the chorus of a Cole Porter musical.
Cole was also 36 years Jack's senior. If it occurred it was a casting couch thing.
Jack died one month before the premiere of the Hardy Boy's.

he was incredibly cute back then, I remember I spent all my school allowance buying big posters of him to put in my room and my notebooks... hmmmn but watching this video makes me realise he's not really my type of a guy ahahaha... I read or heard somewhere that David Cassidy didn't even realize Shirley Jones was going to star in the role of "Shirley Partridge" until the morning he first walked onto the set for the first day of filming. From what I understood, he got along with her okay after that. I wonder whatever happened to her. She was a very beautiful woman.

Shirley and David shared the same agent.
This is because Jack, his father, gave him this agent when David first went into show business.
This agent sent David to the audition without telling him that Shirly was the lead.
She did not have to audition and was automatically given the role.
Jack Cassidy died one month before the Hardy Boy's premiered.
Jack also shared the same agent with Shaun.
Shirley was recently on 'Days of Our Lives' soap opera earlier this year and she does concerts.
