I'm having a little conflicting emotions about this war. On one hand, it's good that you got rid of Saddam. One the other hand, you've got a tonne of dead soldiers and civilians, NO connection to 9/11, NO WMD's, a brutal civil war between the Sunni and the Shia, and a bunch of other dictators left in the world. All while China and Russia are growing stronger, Iran is most likely plotting a nuclear attack on Israel, and Osama bin Laden might still be hiding along the Afghan-Pakistani border.

well I don't really see how the US would be benefited in that way... so what, because we got rid of Saddam and Iraq is going to fork over barrels of oil? if anything this war is bad for the economy, it puts strain on government spending, and contributed to a pretty big recession. I'm not sure what Bush's agenda was, but I don't think going into Iraq was for oil.

Well mate the answer is 2fold.First of all Bush's agenda WAS Iraqi oil.There are many facts that would point to this conclusion.Secondly,the US economy and its people were NEVER a part of his 'give a shit about' list.He and his mates merely wanted more of what they already have in abundance-WEALTH.
The reason the war has ended up costing them more than was anticipated was because it simply hasnt gone to plan.The country and indeed the world is in chaos,sliding towards largescale conflict.
