I understand your comment, but the problem is that this guy has hit the 'big time' so suddenly that the Simon Cowell/BMG machine hasn't had the chance to provide enough support yet. That, and the fact that he's releasing his first album mid July, means that we have to put up with Turandot for now, but I think Mr. Potts will be around long enough to build a decent repertoire.

Congratulations to Paul. As Simon said, it is a wonderful thing to find such a great talent and specially on someone that is not aware of it. Besides any low comment, with the improving of his knowledge on this hard and beautiful area of the arts as the Opera is, he surely will become a Star. Not better, nor less, just another angelical voice to move our feelings and soul. A present from God, indubitably.
