Our DVDlab company from Rome is finishing digital restoring of whole popular series "Professor Balthazar". Soon will be possible to see all 49 episodes on tv and dvd. This is a demo of digital film restoration process with MTI Correct DSR. Long live (our) Professor Balthazar!

I don't mind the original, un-restored form. Actually I may say I like it more. Those were the colors of my childhood. Keep the vintage, please! BTW When is the DVD finally on the market?

its like being 8 again, its 7.15 pm and I am watching my favourite cartoon before bed...although I am 35 now and I am about to put my children to bed instead...and I no longer live in Croatia, but England...I miss both.

I had it much differently in the US, where these cartoons used to show up in the morning/afternoon hours (on cable channel Nickelodeon during a program they had that often seemed like a dumping ground for a lot of foreign cartoons that probably wouldn't have aired elsewhere), and during school hours so I could only catch them in the summer months and on vacations.

i loved this show when it was screened on ABC television in Australia during the 1970's , i will be waiting to buy this , thank you for restoring this beloved classic show , so future generations can also love proffesor like i have, magnificent job.

I remember watching this show on Nickelodeon during its "Pinwheel" block in the mornings. I didn't find out until a little later that it came from Yugoslavia, and then I found out that one of my classmates in High School, who had immigrated from Macedonian Yugoslavia in the 80's, remembered watching it on state run TV. There was also a Czech cartoon involving a mole (Conveniently mute, no translation needed)

Balthazar was God! I loved him when I was a child. It was so nice and save to know that - somewhere out there - there was this warmhearted little professor who never failed to fix other peoples problems. You never saw him angry or impatient. We really need a person like Professor Balthazar in this messed-up world. Or maybe the world needs you and I to be a little more Balthazar-like? Anyway: Love to Balthazar!
