Ha!!! Blackmore has huge classical influences too! There are a few new bands today that are giving it a good run. But for the most part I agree with you. The "poor me" crybaby crap of most bands today gets old. Plus nobody dresses like a rocker anymore. Drab colored T-shirts and sweaters??? Salvation Army clothes?? Boring!

Usually when most artistically-inclined bands go commercial, they suck. Ritchie and his band showed that you could go commercial and come up with one of the most memorable and best-loved classic Metal songs, complete with a classic riff and killer guitar solo! Truly one of those perfect rock songs in every way!
