The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 is a mid-engine sports car produced by Volkswagen AG subsidiary Bugatti Automobiles SAS introduced in 2005. It is the quickest accelerating and decelerating road-legal production car in the world, and was the world's fastest road-legal production car until the SSC Ultimate
Aero TT in 2007. Powered by a 1,001 PS (987 hp/736 kW) W16 engine, it is able to achieve an average top speed of 407.47 km/h (253.19 mph). The car reached full production in September 2005, and is handcrafted in a factory Volkswagen built near the former Bugatti headquarters in Château St Jean in
Molsheim (Alsace, France). It is named after French racing driver Pierre Veyron, who won the 24 hours of Le Mans in 1939 while racing for the original Bugatti firm. The music is Sabra Cadabra by Black Sabbath of the Sabbath Bloody Sabbath album.

Well, yes when they first came out. I got out of the service in late '68 after spending two isolated years overseas and was exposed to a load of 'underground' rock that I had missed, getting mentally lost for a while. I guess Sabbath was the first true 'metal' group and had 2 or 3 of their albums.

I'll grant you that but you've got to keep in mind that the saleen is a stripped down racecar, the Bugatti is a luxury car with pedigree and (personal comment here) looks way better than any saleen i've seen.

if you think the bugatti is as you say.. ugly, that's no concern of mine, but when you say that the car was built by a former ford employee as if that proves that the saleen is the pinnacle of automobile evolution... it just doesn't. now please don't misinterpret this, i love the american muscle car, but in technical terms the american car industry is far behind the european one.
yes the saleen is a fast car, but it just lacks the soul and the passion of the bugatti.

i dont really think so....its a w16 two v8 engines, it has 250 hp on the saleen and is barely quicker, the ssc ultinate has 1 v8 ulike the two in the bugatti, id rather pay 174,000 than pay 1.2 million on a car

From that logic, a V8 is basically 2 inline4 engines with a single camshaft. Be in mind the SSC is just a combination of other existing part (bad mix of Lamborghini body kit and Koeningsegg style) made by former kit car producer compare to the Veyron that is made from scratch. It takes five years to build a gearbox, electronic traction control, improving aerodynamic and stability at high speed. At level, SSC Ultimate Aero is not worth the league of Bugatti, it will not survive versatility tests.

the bgatti cant handle, the aero was built for everything and a v8 isnt two 4 cylinder engines its called a v8 because it has 8 cylinder in ONE engine, the bugatti has 2 v8's forming a W16 if it was ONE it would be called V16 do your research before you open your mouth the ssc has mmmm a trunk dvd entertainment 10 speaker surronund sound navigation comfortbale seats, and performance the bugatti has only performance

it has already survived the tests, and do you not think america has faster cars than this.....in 1988 the Sledgehammer Corvette TT did 254.7....faster than the bugatti aye.....it took the bugatti a long time to get to top spedd it only took the ssc 1.5 miles and it was topped out...btw the ssc has the capabilities of going 273, they just didnt get 273 on the day guinees was there

If a V8 engine is "8 cylinder in ONE engine", then a W16 is a 16 cylinders in ONE engine as well following your logic thus you only proved my point. As for the SSCUATT interior, don't make other people laugh, even an Indian car interior is much better than that, this one is an embarrassment for what should be a supercar? DVD entertainment while riding, isn't that stupid? As for Veyron handling, only your speculation given the fact all pro drivers praise it.

Here goes a defensive mode with patriotic flag. Corvette Sledgehammer is not a production car and was useless with that configuration. It was lucky to run once. Do you honestly think top speed is the main thing? Have you considered about comfort, safety, stability of the car that neither Sledgehammer nor SSCUATT provide to the driver? The point of Bugatti Veyron you failed to understand is to reach 250 mph in a safely manner and can repeat its performance for 10-20 years.

Idiot. Believe me I would rather own a buggatti, because it is far more stable at high and low speeds. And is a much better all around driver. Are you kidding me though, that Buggatti doesnt put luxury into their cars? Buggattis are one of the most luxurious cars of all time!look at pictures of the interiors, compare,And see how wrong you are. The SSC doesnt even have analog dials. I cant say I'd be caring about luxury, but believe me if I did care the buggatti would be my first choice.

Which luxury? The SSC UATT used for the Guinness Record did not have any luxury, nor assisting such as ABS, traction control. The base model has an embarrasing outdated 1980 interior. It is not worth a comparison against Veyron because of its single purpose. What is the point to reach 284 mph without safety feature?

Why are there always morons who think that the ssc is better than the Veyron. IT'S NOT BETTER, it's just a bit faster.The Bugatti is a milestone, the first car to go above 400 km/u, you should respect the creators and the car. And another thing, if you think the Veyron is ugly, why don't you build your 400+ km/u supercar.I would be happy to see your result.
