Yes usually a strong league is a synonymous for a strong national team, but unfortunately, that's not the case with England. It can't be; not when there are only two or three english nationals on the field per team, and they aren't even the most relevant players in their clubs. So again, don't get too cocky with your league, which is excellent, no doubt, and most likely is with La Liga, the best in the world, but at the same time it does harm your young prospects, that see no play time at all.

I get the point. BUT Mexico is a football power. At the national team level and clubs. Its league is the bridge which most latinamerican players use to go to Europe. And being in a position where we can say that we are better, shows our improvement. Now we are going to start playing the Copa America (south-american national teams competition) regularly, and I bet you, that will give us even a greater deal of experience in the future. So watch out England, here we come.

And how are we supposed to compare national teams if not by tournaments where these participate? By history? In some cases (England) a history that needs to go back to almost a half of a century? No dude. I'm sorry, but if you advance to a certain round in a competition and if we do it as well, you like it or not WE ARE AT THE SAME LEVEL in that moment, at least our national teams are. Also look the competitions at the youth level, where USA has being a serious contender for quite some time now.

not all teams have just 2 english players. west ham have upson,green,collison,sears,etherington,noble,davenport and bellamy is welsh. fulham have johnson,bullard,konchesky,zamora,murphy and hughes starting for them. theres only really chelsea and arsenal which only have 2 or 3 players in there starting line up. youre only jelous cos we can attract the likes of ronaldo,robinho and fabregas and your best player is landon donovan (how embarrasing). so take that n shove it up ur arse

urrrrrggggghhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! world standings arent based on the world cup alone. you cant compare teams through a tournament or their progression through the said compared to anothers if they never met. simple as.
advancing to the same round of a comp does not put you on the same lvl as another team. england is quite obviously FAR superior in ALL departments (particularly with fabio in charge). like i admitted b4 usa have progressed. however u wont see top 10 for at least 30 years
