Took the Southwest Chief through Garden City the other day and felt the chills when I thought of the Clutters. Thanks for the interesting video and keep up the good, important work.

Very interesting video. In Cold Blood is an outstanding book and very well done movie. I've watched both Capote and Infamous. I thoroughly enjoyed both films. Both Philip Seymour Hoffman and Toby Jones gave great performances. I liked Jones' portrayal a little better.

Great presentation and treatment of subject! I have read almost everything Capote wrote except for IN COLD BLOOD. One of the best American writers of the last century--in my opinion. And probably a genius as evidenced by his earlier writing.

I visited a friend in Garden City and drove to the home, What an experience... stopped at the driveway of Chinese Elms.. I expected much more, but the small towm of Holcomb is as it is... Like nothing happened. Kind of strange to me, but very Mid-west... Can't explain the experience...

I first red the book In Cold Blood in high school, more than twenty years ago. The book grabbed me then and it's been a story I cannot get out of my mind. A horrible, unimaginable tragedy made for a great read, a wonderful movie and a reminder of the precious lives that were lost.
I wonder why the ... ( 7 months ago by psatm)
I wonder why the movie 'Capote' shows such a different house. In the movie it's a two-story farmhouse, taller and more narrow. This home looks to be two story, but much different design.

I wondered also why they used a different house, and so obviously not the real house; but they also did not have the character 'Nancy Ewalt'...she was named something else.

Very informative. Thanks for doing this.
I've seen both the movies ("Infamous" was the better one in my opinion.) It's amazing how far the tragedy spreads when something like this happens-even to Capote himself since he never finished another novel.
