I cannot say I have ever witnessed a bull fight first hand, but I have read Ernest Hemingway's "Death in the Afternoon". He writes that there is an overwhelming, almost unexplainable attraction and pleasure from watching the fight. Somehow, the brutality becomes bravery by both the animal and the toreador. I do not see this art as barbaric because the animals are just that, animals, but the bulls are truly respected and revered by the remaining great fans of bullfighting.

I understand you all..after all its ours,spains mexico's tradition(and other countries..and you never see anything like this in UK etc.. But anti bullfighting campaigns do make me laugh..bullfighting will never be banned, it is far too strong in our countries to let it be banned..so please, dont watch bullfighting if you dont agree with it, but let us continue, as we will anyway. Most people in my native Portugal share my views..Bulls were made to be faught, it's not our fault. Thank You x
