Thank you for posting this! It's amazing to be able to click onto the computer and see footage like this. His technique improved later, but even here he's still got that amazing mastery that lets the music sing for itself, without a huge ego interposing. I worship him even more now!

Umm. well it's kinda hard because he has polio and he can't stand. thats why he sits during all performances... feel sry for him in stead of reprimanding him.The fact that hes soo good even with polio makes it accountable

just because Perlman has polio and cant walk without crutches doesnt mean we should feel sorry for him! i would totally love to be able to play like him (and i know it doesnt work this way, but im trying to make a point...) and polio seems like a reasonably small price to pay in the long run. He seems like it makes little differnce for him now. Im sure it was very hard as a kid, but hes not nemore, so...
