Just watched the documentary War Dance from Think Films about children with horrific experiences in Uganda who are from the Acholi tribe but find a beautiful space in their lives through music. Heartbreaking, yet stunning and uplifting. Oryema has a few songs on the soundtrack.

One of those random, unknown songs I download off the Internet (for no apparent reason) every now and then - this one turned out to be a real find.
Needless to say I have become a fan ever since, and I love relaxing to this song! :) To whoever is gonna bash me for downloading music illegally... would I ever have discovered Geoffrey's beautiful music otherwise? I highly doubt that!

This song is based on traditional Swahili music. He is from Uganda and I find him amazing and beautiful. I found his music by watching the HBO movie "Red Shoes Diaries". His first album was Exile, I recommend you check it out! :)
