because tapping involves tapping your plucking hand on frets that are usually high up on the neck, making a sound that incorporates the high notes into a passage of lower notes.That way you can play "more" notes at a time.You need to pluck to get your way around the fret board in ways other than tapping.If you permanantly tapped instead of plucking it would sound so shit. So tapping involves incorporating extra notes into the solo section that your other hand cant reach,or to get a certain sound

Slash is one of the best. he really is awesome. PLEASE go to my favorites (I only have 3) click on SUBURBAN GUY ROCKIN OUT he is self-taught, really feels what he plays and improvises the songs as he goes along. the other 2 favs are him also ARIEL and ARIEL SIMANTOV. pls view comment and rate them as we think he deserves recognition. thanks everyone!

THIS is the one thing that drives me to play my guitar, not guitar hero or all of that other crapp its tha real stuff with skill involved and dont get me wrong i love guitar hero its fine and all but its nothing compared to real, thats tha difference: 5 notes and millions more
