Understatement of the Year! Not only would he have burned down the screen, he probably would've broken the thousands of female fans watching's hearts! Definately, I would liked to have seen him as Vicomte Valmont, but one cannot have everything, eh? Is there anywhere I can see the entire performance of Alan in Les Liaisons Dangereuses?

I cannot BELIEVE he didn't play the part in the film! That's a tragedy! And Malkovich's American accent was so out of place, too. Alan would have been sooo much better and SEXIER and MESMERIZING - which is perfect for the character!

´s acting was amazing, that when people were leaving the theatre, "everybody wanted sex and most of the wanted it with Alan Rickman." Explains a lot. LOL

Whoever the heck owns the rights to this production really have no idea what kind of gold mine they are sitting on. Do they not realize that legions of women would buy a recorded copy of this play in a heartbeat? Seriously someone needs to give them the memo.

Malkovich is brilliant, and I thought he did a fantastic job in the film, but Rickman owns it! He plays seductive and evil soooo well, it's ridiculous.
