What an odd description. I think words like thoughtful, deep, ethereal, introspective, subtle, dreamy and evocative would be far more appropriate. If you're looking for something with a good beat that you can dance to, perhaps you should try Solid Gold not Mazzy Star.

I envy you, would love to see her sing live :) I've got all the Mazzy Star albums and the Hope Sandoval and the Warm Inventions album. Such an angelic voice! I've listened to it repeatedly for years now, and it's my ultimate chill-out and relax music.
