It still amazes me that no one questions the fact that there will be a new president in January. What was done with the MCA (and the John Warner Defense Act that NO ONE talks about) has made this possible: the President has the ability to declare Martial Law now with just the Sec. of Defense signing off on it. And, if a state of martial law exists, a president can NOT vacate the office until the crisis has passed.

So, how plausible does it become that this administration will find a way to declare Martial Law...especially if it looks that they may lose power should the Democrats win? Considering everything that has been done so far, the lies that have been told (mind you, lying to Congress under oath is considered TREASON. They tried to Impeach Clinton for lying about an affair...yet no one has done anything, no matter how many times Bush has been shown to lie...)

This is a wrong that has been committed in our name that will not fade away. A mark against all that we say America is and we hope to bestow to the future. What it says about pres. Bush is obvious in what he has done. He is as obvious as the many leaders, generals, tyrants and despots that have preceded him. We cannot fault him for giving him power, only ourselves for sitting silently by and allowing him to keep it.The fault is our own for caring more about the salacious than the substantive.
