Fool on the Hill Part 1 (1 of 2)
Uploaded by: negba
Video Description:
Part 1 of a two part film.
I made this film in 1986 when I was studying for an HND. It was nothing to do with the course. Well I suppose it did have some connection as the course involved computing. We did not have Windows or the Internet. The computer I used was a BBC one. The lowest form of electronic device! The Mouse had just been introduced! I felt like a Walt Disney worker -- I had to make each frame individually to achieve the very basic animation -- unlike the morphing of today. The film sections examine the thinking of our dreams - in our daydreaming! In the 1980's Dundee we had lots of time to dream.
I was inspired by the way we dream and how we follow others to reach those dreams. In a way it is a biography. The music from The Beatles was used as it told part of that story.
