Vegeta had lost to a saiyan of a lower rank than he. This "clown" Kakarot had even achieved Super Saiyan status before Vegeta..This is why Vegeta had to let himself be controlled, he needed Babadi to reawaken the evil in his heart so he could restore his honour and pride once again! Emotions..Friendship..Family mean nothing to the saiyan prince!
