I was 17 when this song came out. The Zombies were one of my favorite groups. Rod Argent on keyboard, and lead singer Colin Blunstone really made the band. Since I'm a keyboard player, Rod's technique is really technical...a lot of classical fingering and voicings. I saw them earlier this month here in Milwaukee at Summerfest. They were great. Colin and Rod are the only two original members left. If you get a chance to see them, don't miss it.

I remember everything that Oldschooler mentioned along with some other things such as the bank bombings by the SDS and several ugly demonstrations and riots...Rampant drug abuse and the "Sex Revolution"... Yep,America lost her innocence during the 60's... On the brighter side, we enjoyed some of the finest music imaginable; fun, funky fashions (as well as beautiful classics) and towards the end of the decade the Jesus Movement came into being and took the nation by surprise.

Yeah. There's this song by The Bluetones called Mudslide. It's new though. The band itself is from the 90's, but the lyrics are cool. It's about the decline of decent music and crap taking over the world instead, and how the masses get brainwashed into liking it, singing it, etc. I just thought you could identify with it. lol yeah
